So
why do some flowers smell during the day and some at night?
The answer lies in what type of pollinator
they require to attract. Those that smell sweetly during the day
attract day flying insects. Those that smell in the evening or the
night attract night flying insects such as moths. these plants include
Honeysuckle and night scented Phlox.

Save money and have better plants by buying bare rooted shrubs
and trees. They generally establish far better than pot grown plants
but hurry as they are only available until the end of March from
garden centres.
Now is the perfect time to take stock of the garden whilst the
structure of the garden is more noticeable. Plan and construct any
changes ready for the summer sun! Or if this sounds too daunting
then why not get in a specialist who can guide you through the
process. I know a good one!
By installing a water butt the need for mains water can be
reduced which could save you money if you are on a metre or at the
very least help you to do your little bit to save the planet.

mirror!
